Feeding Details
One 25kg bag makes up 200 litres of milk (44 gallons). Usually 35 kg of powder needed/calf
Typically feeding at 125 grams/litre. (12.5% mixing rate); 5-6 litres/day = 625/750 grams of powder/calf/day; Feed 3 litres twice a day
Feed warm at 38-40°C. Mix well using whisk etc
Wean when calves are eating 1kg of meal/day. Typically at 8-12 weeks of age
Ensure calves have access to fresh water, roughage and meal
Can be fed once per day from 28 days of age
